The workshop will bring Oxfam together with other practitioners, blockchain platforms, policy and government people and academic researchers to examine the challenges and opportunities faced by major development NGOs in adopting blockchain, in order to share research and to facilitate knowledge exchange and networking.
 
The workshop will be structured as follows (though this may change depending on submissions):

10.50 – 12.30: Paper session 1: The Future of Giving: Blockchain, direct giving and in aid donations

13.15 – 14.00: Keynote address 2: Ric Tighe, ICT in Programme team, Oxfam (digital beneficiary registrations and distribution tracking in humanitarian programmes)
14.00 – 15.30: Panel session 2: Governing Blockchain in International Development: Challenges and Opportunities
15.30 – 16.00: Coffee
16.00 – 17.30: Panel session 3: Blockchain in Practice in International Development: Use Cases, Examples and Innovations
