Workshop on 2 May in London at the Coin Street Centre in Waterloo, hosted by the – a UK project that the use of tech for international . The workshop will bring Oxfam together with other practitioners, platforms, policy and government people and academic researchers to examine the challenges and opportunities faced by major international development NGOs in adopting , in order to share research and to facilitate knowledge exchange and networking.
 
The workshop will be structured as follows (though this may change depending on submissions):

09.30 – .00: Welcome: Kate Symons
0.00 – 0.45: Keynote address , Michel Bauwens, Peer-to-Peer theorist
10.50 – 12.30: Paper session 1: The Future of Giving: Blockchain, direct giving and in aid donations
12.30 – 13.15: Lunch
13.15 – 14.00: Keynote address 2: Ric Tighe, ICT in Programme team, Oxfam (digital beneficiary registrations and distribution tracking in humanitarian programmes)
14.00 – 15.30: Panel session 2: Governing Blockchain in International Development: Challenges and Opportunities
15.30 – 16.00: Coffee
16.00 – 17.30: Panel session 3: Blockchain in Practice in International Development: Use Cases, Examples and Innovations
18.00 – 19.30: Drinks reception and networking
