Expanded computer science programs, including , are becoming much more common in both K-12 and higher education curriculum.

Opinion writers Alastair Fitzpayne, Matthew Sigelman and Austin Jasper recently wrote an article in The Hill stating that “computer science and coding are critical baseline for the 21st century.” The reason? Computer science can help prepare today’s for their future careers with good paying salaries. The authors write, “Coding skills are a staple of half of all occupations in the top earning quartile, jobs with salaries of $75,000 and over.”

To help introduce more learners to coding 3D and mixed reality components, zSpace announced the release of an Addendum to the Unity Educator Toolkit on October 31. In the zSpace supplement to the Unity Curricular Framework, learners will begin to understand the factors involved with rendering objects in stereoscopic 3D and study how users can manipulate objects in stereoscopic 3D. The Addendum introduces Unity users worldwide to zSpace mixed reality components, terminology and core concepts.
