As the title says. I am looking to incorporate my business and I see that some websites (like Stripe Atlas) offer a flat fee of $500 for the whole whereas when I spoke to various business lawyers, their prices range between $1500 – $4000. Their main argument is that websites like Stripe and LegalZoom offer a "one size fits all" approach to and thus leaves founders and business owners vulnerable to lawsuits that can "pierce the corporate veil". Given my lack of knowledge in that area, I am unsure if this is true or not.

Now, I know that lawyers have to justify their fees, but from a purely financial standpoint, this seems like a big chunk of change upfront but I also want to having legal issues down the road. Any opinion or story that can help me in making an informed decision would help.

Thanks
