So, here217;s a little bit about me, I am nearing 30 years old, I have worked for other people my entire life, and it doesn217;t feel fulfilling or enjoyable. I don217;t have any background in business, or any business degrees, finance, or accounting. However, I have incredible resources in those areas. What I do have is years in serious commercial sales in accounts worth 20+ million dollars. I can grow a product this much I know. I also know I can manage and account for my resources.

I come across people all the time who own small businesses and make a decent living, and it frustrates me a little because I personally know I am more capable than MANY of these people, but I’ve never had an avenue to take for starting my own business and being my own boss. I want to change that by starting something small, WELCOME, that I can either start doing out of my , or garage.

Here’s the tricky part, I don’t have much in the way of trade skills. I’m not a woodworker, or remodeler, or mechanic. I’d love to see if theres a business where I can resell a product from my home and incorporate myself as a Reseller for that product. Again, this comes down to pure inexperience. I don’t really know where to start. I have no entrepreneur friends who can give me guidance or wisdom.

All I do know is if I can get off the ground I can have a third source of income, and something to give myself the experience to then take another step in growing a larger business so I can get out of the vicious life sucking lifestyle I’ve lived for 12 years working for other people.

I’m not sure if /r/Entrepreneur/ or /r/SmallBusiness are better resources for this question, but I’d love some insight on how either you got started, or ways I could get started.

Maybe reselling candles, or rugs, or car parts etc. Or if you have a better idea for a good starter small business capable of being done from home, I’d love to hear it!

Thanks for any assistance!
