As I have been exploring a new “philanthropic” startup idea that connects education devices/services with iPads with lower income parts of the US and eventually world, I am having a hard time walking the tightrope of turning a profit and generating income, and not seeming like I am exploiting a current issue. The other issue I am finding, the idea is very capital intensive, which yea no problem for a tech startup, but if I can not pay that money back, the issue remains.
I have researched into direct sales, sales to non-profits, crowd sourced fundraising, etc. and all lead back to appearing like a shark in bloody water.
If you have any experience with something like this or have any advice on a route to take, please let me know! Thanks
